Pastry:
2 packages (8 ounces each) Cream Cheese, softened 1 cup butter or margarine, softened 2 1/4 cups flour
Filling:
3 Tablespoons butter or margarine, melted 2 cups brown sugar 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together cream cheese and butter. Add flour and mix until it forms a soft dough. Make 1 inch balls and press into ungreased mini muffin tins (makes 48). Set aside.
In medium bowl combine all filling ingredients. Spoon filling mixture into prepared mini muffin tins.
Bake for about 20 minutes or until tarts are nice golden brown.
Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes, then remove the tarts and let cool completely.
