1 lb ground beef 1 medium onion chopped 30 oz can tomato sauce 7/8 oz can tomato paste 4 T sugar 4 tsp garlic powder 2 1/2 T parsley flakes 2 tsp basil 2 tsp italian seasoning 1 tsp oregano 1 C water 2 1/2 T worcestershire sauce (I make my own - see recipe here) Brown meat in your sauce pan with the onion. Drain grease and put back in the pan. Add tomato sauce and tomato paste. Stir until it's smooth. Add seasonings and stir until mixed well. Warm until the sauce starts trying to boil then add water and worcestershire sauce. Stir until smooth / not a lot of water sitting on top. Bring it back to almost a boil then turn the heat down. Simmer about 30 minutes to desired consistency (I would use a spatter screen or use the lid of my pot cockeyed on it - you don't want the steam to create more water). Serve over white or wheat pasta.
