This is a fairly thin batter but it sticks well to the pickle. Also it's really yummy. I'm assuming that thinly sliced yellow squash or zucchini, or even cucumber, would be a good substitution for pickle.
1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 teaspoon seasoned salt (I use Tony's) 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup milk
Wisk all together till smooth.
Drain pickle slices. Lay out on paper towels. Blot dry with more paper towels.
Dip pickles in batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Dip in ranch dressing.
Yum!
