8 cups tomatoes, peeled, chopped and drained 2 1/2 cups diced onions 1 1/2 cups diced green peppers 1 cup diced jalapeno peppers 6 garlic cloves, minced 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup vinegar 1/4 cup canning salt (I use 2 Tablespoons table salt, as I don't can it) 2 teaspoons ground cumin 2 teaspoons black pepper 15 ounce can tomato sauce 12 ounce can tomato paste
Combine all in a big pot, bring to a boil. Boil gently for 10 minutes (if you're not going to seal this in a water bath, boil gently for 20 minutes!)
Process in water bath for 10 minutes.
